Wyatt International PA wins major award

Leading Midlands marketing and communications agency, Wyatt International, is on the awards trail again – this time with PA Lynne Strawford beating stiff competition to scoop the title for 'Biggest Contribution to the Business' in the Midlands PA of the Year Awards 2008.

The Awards recognise the hard work and sheer professionalism of PA’s across the business and public sectors in the Midlands.

Lynne, who was the only PA from a privately-owned SME to have been shortlisted in the Awards, stood out for the judges for her dedication and added-value approach to the role, beating other PA's from major corporations, multi-nationals and Government bodies to take the title.

Lynne was nominated for the award by Wyatt International Managing Director Karen Bernie, who said: “Lynne wears a millions hats – perfectly. I can only describe her as the glue that holds the various components of our business together – from board level management meetings to client account handling responsibilities through to HR and IT responsibilities – she’s one in a million.”

Speaking after her win, Lynne, who has been with Wyatt for 11 years, said: “I am delighted to have won the ‘Biggest Contribution to the Business Award’. When you say PA, people still think of a glorified secretary – when in fact it’s completely different these days. To say my work is varied would be an understatement and I like to think that PA stands for ‘Prepared Always!”
