Good news, everyone: PR Week has revealed its 2018 list of the top 150 UK PR consultancies – and we’re proud to say we’ve clocked in at number 108, up 11 places from 2017.
Let’s put this into a little context. It’s pretty difficult to gauge the complete number of PR agencies UK-wide, but one directory back in 2013 estimated that figure at around 4,200.
Since then, the PRCA’s PR Census 2016 calculated huge growth – with the industry holding over 62,000 employees in 2013, and then around 83,000 in 2016. So, amongst agencies big and small, from one-man bands to multinational giants, to be counted in the top 150 alone is cause for celebration.
What’s more, a quick scan of the PR Week rankings reveals that only three Midlands-based agencies actually made it on there – so we’re waving the flag here in the Midlands.
On a more general note, the annual rankings show more good news for everyone as, despite some market uncertainty, the PR industry showed solid growth throughout 2017 and into 2018, with some sectors particularly thriving. And certainly, our ascent from 119 in 2017 to 108 this year reflects this.
Thank you to all our personnel and clients who have helped us with this major achievement.
